I absolute love refreshing my style for the new season. And this spring is no different. However, this year I got inspired by Fall trends that I saw during Fashion Week. Dior came out with the most amazing show featuring plaids, gingham, and tween mixed with flowy skirts and wide leather belts. The juxtaposition of fabrics and styles drew me in! When I saw the Fall-Winter 2019 Ready-to-Wear Collection from Dior, I knew I had to re-create some looks perfect for Spring!
Outfit 1: Gingham dress with leather jacket
This first look was inspired by the FW2019 Dior collection. I loved all the gingham and plaid patterns mixed with chiffon skirts and thick belts. It was such as interesting combination of preppy, feminine, and edgy which is totally my style.
To create this outfit, I styled a Gingham dress that had a wide skirt with a thick wrap-around belt. Then I draped a leather jacket on top. I paired it with a pair of sandals for a summer look, but a pair of dark loafers would complete the vibe very well for Spring. Overall, it makes for a such a high-fashion look and the leather details make the girly dress more edgy.

Outfit 2: Pleated skirt with a long-sleeve top
Pleated skirts are huge for this season and Dior did their own spin in their Spring-Summer Collection. The Dior look had a nude-tone pleated skirt with a leotard-inspired top.
While I didn’t have a similar skirt, I decided to get a little creative and use a floral dress in similar tones that has a beautiful pleated skirt. Overtop, I wore a tight long-sleeve shirt with a wide neckline. To accentuate my waist, I again wore the wrap-around belt. Nude heels complemented the tones in the skirt and the overall vibe for the Dior collection. Altogether, it giving me all the ballet vibes, because of that beautiful flowy skirt! I think it’s the perfect outfits for a nice dinner date or meeting the parents.

Outfit 3: Neutral-pink blazer and pleated pants
For the last outfit, I was inspired by the pink-neutral tones in Dior’s SS19 collection. I decided to put together a cute look for the office. For this outfit I pulled out a pair of pink pleated palazzo pants I recently purchased. I think palazzo pants are perfect for summer because they are so breezy and comfortable for hot days! I wore a white camisole and overtop I put an oversized pink blazer. For my shoes, I again went with the same nude heels. Alternative shoes that would work well are a pair of ballet flats.
